The Suicide Squad is a superhero film that features inmates from Belle Reve being recruited into a clandestine unit called Task Force X. The mission is to infiltrate the island of Corto Maltese to eradicate a Nazi-era prison called Jotunheim. While carrying out their orders, the group comes into conflict with Starro, a giant alien telepath in the shape of a starfish. The team showcases a mixture of lesser-known villains as well as more notable ones such as Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang.
